Media Circus following Litvinenko's poisoning
Immediately after the poisoning, all media circuits reported that the Russian government was most likely responsible, and that "Mario" had information on the killing of journalist Anna Politkovskaya. More so, that thallium was used on Litvinenko to poison him. Well here it is, most recent from today:
CNN, "Meanwhile doctors have discounted suspicions that the toxic metal thallium was used, hospital officials said Tuesday and Litvinenko remained in serious condition at University College Hospital in London, where he has been treated since Friday. He says he was poisoned after meeting with an Italian who claimed to have information connecting the Russian government with the October slaying of a frequent critic, journalist Anna Politkovskaya".
So, in fact thallium was not used, more so:
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service again denied its involvement, arguing "such steps are not in our interest," a Russian official told Russian news agency Interfax.

MosNEWS, Professor Scaramella said the original arrangements for the meeting had been by email and it was arranged that they would meet on November 1 in central London. “I was in London to meet Mr Litvinenko because I wanted to discuss with him some alarming news. The information I had received was very disturbing and contained details of plots against Russians both in Italy and Great Britain.
”The information was a list of people — it was a hit list and on that list was his name, my name and Paolo Guzzanti (head of the Italian commission investigating KGB activities in Italy). It was unbelievable and there were also names of people in Britain on it. I asked him to make a call to his people in Russia to evaluate it.
When asked if he was scared and what steps he had taken to increase his own personal security Professor Scaramella said: ”I don’t want to answer that question. These people are very dangerous. We are talking about people involved in the murder of (Russian journalist) Anna Politkovskaya.“
He also described how there was a strong connection between the Russian Mafia and the former KGB as well as their replacement intelligence service the FSB and SVR.Professor Scaramella also revealed how Mr Litvinenko had provided information which led to the arrest of six Ukranians who were smuggling arms between Russia and Italy for an attempted hit.

Therefore, it seems to me that whoever is doing this is feeding information to the professor about possible hits. What kind of agenda does the person feeding the information have, and what is it in for him/her? Why share this information? Who exactly is Mr. Scaramella, and why is this the first time we hear about him. In any case, if you look at the evidence so far without jumping to conclusions that it was the Russian government directly invovled, you can see that there is some sort of eloborate plot to assasinate people, either by the mafia, or rouge FSB officers, or some sort of plot to try to influence the political scene in Russia, or even Ukraine. You can decide for yourself, but before you do be sure to read as much on this as possible, the facts change almost hourly, nothing is certain in this case.
